When you create an account or build your profile, we collect:
- Name and username
- Phone number (used for OTP verification via Twilio)
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Profile photos
- Bio, interests, faith, ethnicity, education, occupation, relationship intent

Usage & Messaging
- Matches, likes, blocks, and reports
- Chat messages, including text, images, and voice notes you choose to send
Chat messages are encrypted at the database level. We use on-device regex validation inside the message input field to prevent users from sharing phone numbers or credit card details in chat. - Device identifiers, IP address, OS version, app version
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Crash and error logs (Sentry)
- Product analytics events (PostHog)
Subscription Status
We receive subscription and entitlement status from RevenueCat. Diamour does not collect, store, or process your payment card information. All purchases are handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their respective terms.
Location
Location is used only at sign-up, via a one-time GPS check, to confirm your device is in a supported region and to help prevent fraud and scams. We do not track precise location on an ongoing basis. After sign-up, only your country of residence is mandatory; city and state are optional and self-reported.
Permissions (Optional)
- Camera — to take and upload profile or chat photos
- Photo library — to upload existing photos
- Microphone — to record voice notes in chat
- Notifications — to deliver match, message, and account alerts
- Location — used only at sign-up as described above
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may be unavailable without the relevant permission.
How Do We Use the Information We Collect?
- To create and operate your account, profile, and matches
- To verify identity and prevent fraud, scams, and abuse
- To personalize your experience and improve the App

How Do We Use Your Email Address?
We use your email address to send transactional messages (account verification, security alerts, subscription receipts, support replies) and, where you have opted in, product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time via the link included in each email.
Transactional and safety-related emails are required for your account and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active.

We may also disclose information to government or law enforcement officials, or to private parties, where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Diamour, our users, or the public, or prevent illegal activity.
We do not sell your personal information.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Payment Information
Diamour does not collect, store, or process payment card information. All purchases made within the App are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and we only receive subscription status information through RevenueCat (e.g., active, expired, in grace period). Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We retain your information only for as long as we need it to operate the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and meet our legal and safety obligations.
- Active accounts: we retain your data while your account is active.
- Account deletion: when you delete your account, your profile and personal data are removed from our live database immediately.
- Backups: residual copies of your data may remain in encrypted database backups maintained by our infrastructure provider (Supabase) for up to 7 days after deletion, after which they are automatically overwritten in the normal backup rotation. We do not access these backups except for disaster recovery.
- Safety records: certain records related to bans, reports, and safety enforcement (such as device identifiers and abuse reports) may be retained for longer or permanently to protect the community and prevent banned users from returning.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
We implement reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at the database level for sensitive data such as chat messages. Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel under confidentiality obligations. However, no security system is perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security of any information you transmit to us or that information cannot be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of our safeguards.
